As a Clinical Data Specialist at IQVIA, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering high-quality clinical data management services. You will work with the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team, contributing your expertise to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely management of clinical trial data. This position involves performing a variety of data management tasks under the guidance of a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for clinical studies with up to 5 staff members or oversee several moderately complex laboratory studies.
- Serve in various roles, such as coder, tester, or database designer for specific data management tasks that don’t require advanced programming expertise.
- Assist as a back-up for DOC or DTL when needed.
- Conduct data reviews and resolve data queries.
- Write and resolve data clarifications to ensure accuracy in clinical data.
- Lead a database audit team and ensure compliance with all protocols.
- Develop and test databases and edit specifications.
- Perform testing of programming and clinical data coding.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical, Biological, Mathematical Sciences, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and relevant experience can be considered.
- Exposure to medical terminology is crucial.
- Strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and leadership qualities.
- Proficiency in computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative in solving problems.
- Capability to establish effective working relationships with team members, managers, and clients.
