Job Responsibilities:
- Sample Management: Inspect received routine samples and distribute them according to the type of analysis required. Communicate any abnormal samples or non-receipt of routine samples as per the schedule to the shift in charge.
- Compliance: Adhere to standard test methods or work instructions and comply with Quality system procedures.
- Testing and Validation: Perform required tests and confirm results using validation techniques before reporting to ensure reliability.
- Exception Handling: Detect and report any deviations or exceptions in test results.
- Emergency Mitigation: Perform on-spot mitigation in emergency situations under the guidance of the shift in charge.
- Sample Disposal: Dispose of leftover samples safely in identified containers.
- Data Entry: Ensure timely entry of test results in the LIMS.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the availability and maintenance of analytical gears (instrument/equipment/glassware) for the next experiment/test.
- Housekeeping: Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory.
- Data Management: Properly record results in raw data books, LIMS, process registers, and maintain individual raw data books for recording work carried out.
- HSE Compliance: Follow applicable HSEF procedures/practices, stay aware of environmental, site, statutory, and IP regulations, handle chemicals and tools as per safety norms, ensure safe working conditions, and report unsafe acts/conditions to lab management for correction.
- Training and Mentoring: Take self-initiative for training to enhance competencies, participate in external trainings and events as advised by the section head.
