Responsibilities in the Job

As a Trainee Medical Coder, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately coding medical data based on healthcare provider records.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
  • Understanding medical terminologies and procedures for proper code assignment.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure precise data interpretation.
  • Completing coding assignments efficiently while adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications

The eligibility criteria for the position include:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • B. Pharma, M. Pharma, Pharm. D, D. Pharma, B.Sc Nursing, PB-B.Sc Nursing, GNM, B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc Anesthesia, B.Sc Optometry, B.Sc Perfusion Technology, B.Sc Cardiac Care, B.Sc Radiology, and other paramedical & clinical graduates.
  • Preferred Background: Freshers or individuals with no prior experience in medical coding are encouraged to apply.

Skills Required

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:

  • A keen interest in healthcare and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of medical coding systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to undergo a 60-day training program, followed by exams to qualify for the position.

The selection process involves:

  1. Initial Assessment: An online assessment to evaluate basic knowledge.
  2. Interview: A one-on-one interview to assess your skills and knowledge.
  3. Training Program: A 60-day training program to help you get acquainted with medical coding.
  4. Examinations: Clear three exams at the end of the training to prove your proficiency.
  5. Onboarding: Successful candidates will be onboarded to join the Omega Healthcare team.
  6. Certification: Free BCCH certification will be provided upon successful completion of the training program.

Additional Details

  • CTC: ₹21,000 per month (for paramedical graduates).
  • Take Home: Up to ₹16,000 (ESI & PF benefits available).
  • Job Location: Bangalore.
