Job Description
The Junior Officer – Production will monitor and execute production activities in an assigned area during the shift while maintaining cGMP and safety norms to achieve production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute production activities in a shift by managing available resources to achieve production targets.
- Carry out assigned tasks as per planned production activity to meet shift targets.
- Regulate the usage of consumables in the production process at optimum levels to save costs.
- Improve area efficiency by proper utilization of equipment and reducing downtime in the manufacturing area.
- Maintain standard process parameters as per BMRs and other supporting documents for achieving production targets and maintaining quality.
- Ensure operations are performed as per GMP and safety norms by reviewing processes and documents for compliance.
- Ensure equipment, facility and block premises are maintained as per regulatory compliance.
- Maintain system integrity by updating documentation and deviations on CipDox while performing operations.
- Perform validation, qualification and calibration as per schedule and update the output of all activities in the systems.
- Prepare new documents and update existing documents as per GMP requirements.
- Prepare manufacturing records and update online documentation to meet production and cGMP requirements.
- Maintain online documentation and timely entries in BMR and supporting documents.
- Operate software such as SAP, CipDox and QMS.
- Follow safe work processes and ensure safety appliances are used during production activities in shifts.
- Ensure safety systems and procedures are followed by operators in the shift.
- Ensure availability and usage of PPEs in the shift by coordinating with the HSE department for requirements and shift schedule.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for batch scheduling and product-related issues.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Utility teams for system-related queries.
- Support troubleshooting with Formulation Technical Support and new product activities with Formulation Technology Transfer.
- Coordinate with Stores and Warehouse for RM/PM related activities.
- Coordinate with Safety for safety rounds and PPE requirements.
- Interact with maintenance contractors, vendors and equipment manufacturers for machine repairs, spares and troubleshooting.
- Handle resource allocation and workload distribution for each shift.
- Support up-gradation in facility and documents, modification in plant and equipment, and deviation and CAPA implementation through the Section Head.
Qualification
- Bachelor in Pharmacy
Experience
- 3-4 years of experience with 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of cGMP practices and equipment operations required for Formulation Production.
