Key Responsibilities

As an Associate I, Patient Safety & Experience, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing adverse event and complaint case files according to SOPs.
  • Coordinating with affiliate offices to obtain complete safety datasets.
  • Reviewing and reassessing case information for accurate product selection.
  • Assigning appropriate event coding and classifications in safety databases.
  • Performing initial and follow-up safety assessments.
  • Managing safety information received through questionnaires, phone calls, and investigations.
  • Responding to Manufacturing Quality Assurance (QA) requests.
  • Handling Health Authority inquiries and reporting requirements.
  • Launching and documenting quality investigation records.
  • Scheduling expedited and periodic regulatory reports.
  • Participating in quality reviews and receiving feedback on case management activities.
  • Supporting reconciliation activities and audits.
  • Identifying and escalating potential safety concerns to management.
  • Processing and reviewing Surgical Intra Ocular Lens (IOL) complaint records.
  • Maintaining compliance with corporate policies and global pharmacovigilance standards.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Successful candidates should possess knowledge of:

  • Pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting processes.
  • Drug safety databases and reporting tools.
  • Medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
  • Eye anatomy and ophthalmology-related terminology.
  • Common eye diseases and ophthalmic procedures.
  • Product information and medical device safety documentation.
  • Regulatory reporting requirements and quality compliance procedures.
  • Case processing and safety assessment methodologies.
