Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate medical records to ensure accurate coding for services rendered.
- Assign appropriate medical, diagnostic, and procedural codes based on E&M coding guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and E&M coding standards.
- Maintain high accuracy while adhering to strict productivity standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any documentation discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of E&M coding experience.
- Certifications: Valid certifications such as CPC, CCS, COC, CRC, or CIRCC are required.
- Education: Degree in Life Sciences (e.g., BPT/MPT, B. Pharm/M. Pharm, B.Sc/M.Sc in Nursing, Nutrition, Zoology, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Genetics).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding regulations.
- Ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with healthcare providers.
