Job Overview
As a Clinical Data Specialist at IQVIA, you will provide key data management expertise to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team. You will ensure the delivery of quality data management products that align with the needs of customers. This role includes both basic and advanced data management tasks and may involve team leadership under the supervision of the Data Operations Coordinator (DOC), Data Team Lead (DTL), or Functional Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Data Operations Coordination: Serve as a DOC for one protocol with a team of less than 5 staff or manage 15+ central laboratory studies of moderate complexity.
- Leadership: Take on a leadership role in specific data management tasks such as coding, testing, or database design with guidance.
- Support DOC/DTL: Act as a back-up to the DOC or DTL when necessary.
- Data Review & Clarifications: Conduct data reviews and write/resolve data clarifications as required.
- Database Auditing: Lead database audit teams and ensure accurate auditing processes.
- Database Development: Develop and test databases and edit specifications, and perform programming testing.
- Data Coding: Perform clinical data coding and ensure data accuracy throughout the study.
- Compliance: Follow core operating procedures and working instructions, ensuring that all data management objectives are met.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences, or related fields is required. Equivalent education, training, and experience may also be considered.
