Job Description
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality scientific and technical expertise. Your primary responsibility will be to provide local medical information and directly engage with Key External Experts (KEEs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). You will contribute valuable medical and scientific input into the business strategy for your region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain credible networks with healthcare practitioners (HCPs).
- Plan and conduct Continuing Medical Education (CME) events, symposia, training, workshops, and scientific presentations.
- Support Scientific Engagement (SE) activities in accordance with Medical Plans.
- Gain expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases relevant to GSK’s portfolio and maintain up-to-date scientific knowledge.
- Assist with the feasibility assessment of potential research sites and contribute to the development of research proposals and budget assessments.
- Provide medical input into the strategic planning and execution of brand strategies.
- Support pharmacovigilance efforts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Educational Background:
- Minimum Requirement: MBBS with postgraduate qualification, BDS, or MDS with relevant experience.
- Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Diabetology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, or Public Health.
Job-Related Experience:
- Research experience is highly desirable, particularly in immunology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, or public health.
- A solid understanding of ICH-GCP and industry codes.
- 2-5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, vaccines, or biological industries.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
Required Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Technical writing capabilities.
- Ability to keep updated with new scientific developments and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and colleagues.
