Roles and Responsibilities

As a Medical Scribe Trainee, you will:

  • Shadow U.S.-certified physicians during patient interactions and document:
    • Patient history (History of Present Illness, Review of Systems, Past Medical & Surgical History)
    • Medications, allergies, and family/social histories
  • Record physical exam findings and procedures as dictated by the physician.
  • Document lab results, radiology findings, and physician communications.
  • Maintain accurate timestamps of all patient-related activities.
  • Ensure all documentation is reviewed and approved by the physician, who may make amendments before signing.
  • Scribes do not provide patient care but refer any care-related queries to the physician.
