Roles and Responsibilities
As a Medical Scribe Trainee, you will:
- Shadow U.S.-certified physicians during patient interactions and document:
- Patient history (History of Present Illness, Review of Systems, Past Medical & Surgical History)
- Medications, allergies, and family/social histories
- Record physical exam findings and procedures as dictated by the physician.
- Document lab results, radiology findings, and physician communications.
- Maintain accurate timestamps of all patient-related activities.
- Ensure all documentation is reviewed and approved by the physician, who may make amendments before signing.
- Scribes do not provide patient care but refer any care-related queries to the physician.
