RCM Medical Billing Coordinator

The selected candidate will be responsible for processing billing information accurately, supporting accounts receivable collections, reviewing account data, coordinating offshore billing operations, and ensuring efficient revenue cycle management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process billing information accurately using the appropriate software.
• Respond to client calls, internal requests, and external queries.
• Prepare charges for offshore operations and resolve billing-related questions.
• Prepare, assign, and reconcile billing batches.
• Review source codes and tally hash totals.
• Map ICD-9, CPT codes, and modifiers as required.
• Generate claim edit reports for charge entries.
• Reconcile payment postings and balance batch reports.
• Review charges and identify missing modifiers, handwritten diagnosis codes, and procedure details.
• Coordinate with doctors’ offices to clarify incomplete or incorrect billing information.
• Validate, verify, correct, and close completed billing batches.
• Import or enter charges and post payments for clients not handled by IHS.
• Work on claim rejections and coordinate rejection resolution with offshore vendors.
• Conduct spot audits of charge and payment batches to ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, departmental procedures, and quality requirements.
• Meet performance targets related to error-free transactions, processes, and compliance.
• Handle demographic, charge, and payment import posting for the India-based team.
