Key Responsibilities
- Attend daily breakdowns of laboratory instruments and coordinate with outside service providers to resolve instrument breakdowns.
- Initiate purchase requests for instrument spares and service parts, and track procurement of laboratory spares.
- Maintain and update instrument spares and consumables.
- Provide service reports of vendor service engineers, qualification documents, and maintenance records.
- Initiate and complete planned modification approval for instrument installation and close the same after completion of the activity.
- Initiate annual Capex for new instruments requirement.
- Check site readiness and make necessary arrangements for installation of new instruments.
- Coordinate with vendor’s instrument engineer for qualification of instruments.
- Review qualification protocols for adequacy before pre-approval and ensure qualification is completed as per the approved protocol.
- Prepare qualification protocols in case of shifting of instruments or if needed for new instruments.
- Perform qualification of instruments shifted from one laboratory to another.
- Prepare SOP for newly installed instruments.
- Get annual maintenance contract done with various service providers for required instruments by getting offers and raising purchase requests.
- Prepare and update preventive maintenance schedule of laboratory instruments.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is completed as per schedule by annual maintenance contract agency service engineer or in-house.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records, instrument history card, and preventive cards related documents.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Electronics or Instrumentation specialization is mentioned for this role.
