Job Description
Amgen is hiring an Associate Biostatistical Programmer in Hyderabad, India, to contribute to real-world data (RWD) analysis from healthcare databases like MarketScan, Optum, Flatiron, and Medicare. This full-time, on-site role involves SAS, SQL, R, and Python programming to generate datasets, tables, and reports for regulatory and research purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Develop and validate SAS/SQL programs for Real-World Evidence (RWE) generation
✔ Manipulate large healthcare databases (claims, EHRs, registries)
✔ Collaborate with global teams to clarify statistical requirements
✔ Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OMOP Common Data Model)
✔ Contribute to process improvements in statistical programming
✔ Participate in multidisciplinary project meetings
Qualifications & Skills Required
✅ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (0-3 years exp.)
- OR Diploma with 4-7 years of experience
✅ Technical Skills:
- Mandatory: SAS, SQL
- Preferred: R, Python
- Experience with real-world data (RWD) like MarketScan, Optum, Flatiron, Medicare
✅ Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving & attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written & verbal)
- Ability to work in a globally distributed team
