Roche is hiring for the position of Regional Medical Expert (RME) – Neurology across multiple locations in India, including Delhi & Haryana, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. This is a full-time Medical Affairs opportunity for professionals with an advanced medical, pharmacy or scientific qualification and relevant industry or clinical experience.

Candidates with MBBS, MD, PharmD, PhD or MPharm qualifications and approximately 2–4 years of experience in Medical Affairs, clinical practice or a related field can apply. Previous field-based or Medical Science Liaison (MSL) experience is preferred, while exposure to neurology, particularly multiple sclerosis, is considered highly advantageous.

The Regional Medical Expert will work closely with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators and internal Roche stakeholders to support scientific engagement, evidence generation and medical strategy within neurology.

Key Responsibilities

As a Regional Medical Expert – Neurology at Roche, the selected professional will:

  • Provide strong scientific, medical and therapeutic-area expertise in neurology.
  • Contribute to the medical component of integrated strategies and develop scientifically differentiated value propositions.
  • Execute HCP and account engagement plans aligned with regional and pan-India medical strategies.
  • Develop credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs and neurology specialists.
  • Conduct high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchanges with external healthcare stakeholders.
  • Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards, scientific meetings and institutional forums.
  • Identify and analyze scientific and clinical-practice insights from field interactions.
  • Translate external medical insights into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify evidence gaps and support Real-World Evidence (RWE) opportunities.
  • Facilitate registries, observational research and externally submitted Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS).
  • Support identification and assessment of potential clinical trial sites and investigators.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations on study feasibility and strategic site selection.
  • Ensure activities comply with Roche SOPs, UCPMP, applicable regulations, GCP and Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP).

Qualifications and Eligibility

Candidates applying for the Roche Regional Medical Expert Neurology job should meet the following requirements:

Education: An advanced degree such as MBBS, MD, PharmD, PhD or MPharm with a strong scientific foundation.

Experience: Approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, clinical practice or a related field. Previous MSL or other field-based medical experience is preferred.

Therapeutic Area: Previous experience or exposure to neurology and multiple sclerosis will be highly advantageous.

Candidates should also have a good understanding of clinical research, Real-World Evidence and the Indian healthcare ecosystem.

Fluency in English is essential, and applicants should be comfortable spending approximately 60–70% of their working time in the field/travelling.
