Key Responsibilities

As a Statistical Programmer II (SDTM) at Parexel, selected candidates will support the development and quality control of clinical trial SDTM datasets.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Review protocols and Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and provide feedback related to SDTM mappings.
  • Develop SDTM trial design domains.
  • Program complex SDTM datasets for clinical research studies.
  • Perform debugging of simple to moderately complex SAS macros.
  • Apply SAS programming skills to clinical data processing activities.
  • Support SDTM Leads across assigned clinical research projects.
  • Assist with project start-up and programming activities.
  • Support preparation of regulatory submission packages.
  • Work with clinical programming standards and SDTM methodologies.
  • Understand efficacy endpoints and concepts such as RECIST and IMWG.
  • Collaborate with sponsors, Data Operations Leads and cross-functional project teams.
  • Maintain quality and regulatory compliance of statistical programming deliverables.

Qualifications – Who Can Apply?

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following areas:

Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Statistics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or another relevant scientific/technical discipline.

Candidates with equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered according to the job requirements.

Experience Required

Applicants should have 3+ years of experience in SDTM statistical programming.

Candidates should have practical experience with:

  • SAS programming
  • CDISC SDTM standards
  • SDTM dataset development
  • SDTM trial design domains
  • Complex SDTM datasets
  • Clinical trial data
  • Programming and reporting processes
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Clinical research or another regulated environment
  • SAS macro debugging
  • Regulatory submission support

Previous experience supporting an SDTM Lead on clinical research studies would be advantageous.

Skills Required

Candidates should possess strong SAS programming and SDTM programming skills, along with problem-solving abilities and knowledge of clinical data processes.

Knowledge of CDISC standards, clinical research, regulatory submission requirements, efficacy endpoints, RECIST, IMWG, SDTM mappings, trial design domains and programming standards will be valuable for this position.
