About the Role

The Analyst – Competitive Intelligence will support Novartis’ HR Competitive Intelligence capability by transforming publicly available workforce and competitor information into structured, decision-ready insights.

The role involves researching external sources, developing competitor talent benchmarks, validating data, identifying workforce trends, preparing intelligence reports, and communicating findings to HR and business stakeholders.

The analyst will also gain exposure to GenAI and LLM-based tools for synthesizing large volumes of unstructured information.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates may be responsible for:

  • Supporting competitor talent benchmarks, watchlists, and competitive intelligence dashboards across HR domains.
  • Conducting secondary research using career websites, job postings, investor relations pages, earnings calls, industry news, and labour-market statistics.
  • Triangulating information from multiple sources to identify credible competitive and workforce signals.
  • Performing data validation, consistency checks, and source credibility assessments.
  • Following appropriate ethics and data-governance requirements while working with aggregate workforce intelligence.
  • Helping standardize competitive intelligence metrics, index scores, and reporting frameworks.
  • Analyzing indicators such as hiring velocity, skills demand and supply, and potential attrition signals.
  • Preparing alerts, weekly intelligence digests, monthly reports, and ad hoc analytical reports.
  • Translating analytical findings into clear narratives, visual summaries, and presentation-ready insights.
  • Performing proxy analysis when reliable public information is unavailable and clearly documenting assumptions and limitations.
  • Using AI and automation tools, including Copilot and LLM-based assistants, to support research and synthesis under appropriate supervision.
