Job Responsibilities
The Associate STEM Content Analyst in the Pharma Chemistry team will be responsible for:
- Coding and indexing chemical compounds in patents in alignment with Derwent Innovation Product policies and conventions.
- Conducting patent analysis and chemical structure drawing.
- Performing nomenclature of chemical compounds and understanding their human use.
- Engaging in internet research for relevant pharmaceutical and chemistry-related content.
- Upskilling in Pharma/Chemistry/Intellectual Property and data analysis.
- Collaborating with team members and staying updated with industry trends.
Qualifications
Candidates applying for this role must have:

- A degree in B. Pharm / M. Pharm / M.Sc in Chemistry.
- Fresher or 1-2 years of experience in Pharma or Chemistry-based content editing.
- Experience in patent analysis, chemical structure drawing, and knowledge of IUPAC nomenclature is a plus.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in chemical structure drawing tools such as ISIS Draw or Marvin JS.
- Strong analytical and content writing skills.
- Knowledge of complex chemical reactions and Markush structures.
- Basic understanding of intellectual property and patents.
- Elementary proficiency in a foreign language (German, French, Spanish, etc.) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
