Job Description: Fermentation Assistant / Executive

Qualifications

• Educational Background: B.Tech / M.Tech in Biotechnology, M.Sc in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a relevant field.
• Experience: 3-8 years in industrial fermentation, especially large-scale operations, involving 50-250 KL fermenters, fed-batch, and continuous partial harvest systems.

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced professionals to join our fermentation team at Lyfius Pharma. Your role will be crucial in executing and optimizing fermentation processes, contributing to the production of pharmaceutical intermediates.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead and manage fermentation projects, from concept through scale-up and production, in shift operations.
• Develop and optimize fermentation processes to enhance yield, efficiency, and quality of pharmaceutical products.
• Operate and manage large fermenters (50KL to 250KL) including fed-batch and continuous partial harvest systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot fermentation equipment like flow meters, pH/DO sensors, and temperature/pressure sensors.
• Ensure online documentation, feed adjustments, and adherence to SOPs, EOPs, and BPCR.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including downstream processing, analytical development, and quality control.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Present technical reports, data summaries, and protocols.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in handling microbial strains and maintaining optimal growth conditions.
• Experience in bioprocess optimization and troubleshooting.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
