Key Responsibilities
Upstream Processing
- Drive upstream process development using DoE and data-driven approaches
- Operate bioreactors and fermenters for mammalian and microbial systems
- Perform in-process analytics such as metabolite analysis and cell counts
- Handle lab equipment including autoclaves, centrifuges, and hot air ovens
- Prepare documentation for quality compliance and technology transfer
Downstream Processing
- Lead downstream development for recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies
- Design and scale purification processes for GMP manufacturing
- Operate chromatographic systems, TFF, and filtration units
- Analyze and interpret process data to improve efficiency
- Ensure timely delivery of clinical batches within defined budgets
Required Qualifications
Candidates applying for this role should meet the following criteria:
- M.Sc or M.Tech in Biotechnology
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in biotech R&D
- Hands-on experience in upstream or downstream processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with GMP environments and documentation practices
