Key Responsibilities of the Role

As a Biostatistician, you will:

  1. Project Leadership:
    • Serve as a lead statistician with minimal supervision.
    • Conduct team meetings, manage project timelines, allocate resources, and prepare budgets.
    • Interact with sponsors and ensure compliance with SOPs.
  2. Statistical Analysis & Programming:
    • Develop statistical analysis plans, including databases, tables, and summaries.
    • Perform statistical analyses and validate results, focusing on efficacy endpoints.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and mentor junior team members.
  3. Collaboration with Teams:
    • Work closely with programmers and data management personnel to maintain databases.
    • Provide mentorship on database structures and facilitate project documentation.
  4. Protocol Review & Reporting:
    • Calculate sample sizes and review clinical designs for statistical soundness.
    • Develop randomization schemes and statistical sections of reports.
  5. Departmental Support:
    • Contribute to training, presentations, and department policies.

Qualifications for Success

To thrive in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience in leading project teams, conducting team meetings, and managing budgets.
  • Expertise in developing statistical analysis plans and performing high-quality data reviews.

Skills You Bring to the Team

  • Proficient SAS® programming skills (BASE, STAT, MACRO, and GRAPH).
  • Strong understanding of statistical principles with the ability to craft study specifications.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to mentor team members and promote teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
