Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder at CorroHealth, you will:
- Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using standardized coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Review patient records to ensure completeness and accuracy before coding.
- Keep abreast of changes in coding guidelines and regulations to maintain high coding standards.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff members.
Required Skills
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in Surgery Coding, General Surgery, E&M (Evaluation and Management) for both inpatient and outpatient services, and E&M in Ophthalmology.
- Familiarity with IVR and ED Observation coding.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
