Job Title: Coder / Senior Coder – HIM (Health Information Management)

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Extract & Analyze Patient Records – Review medical documents for accuracy.
✔ Assign Medical Codes – Apply CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, APC, DRG, ASA codes.
✔ Ensure Compliance – Follow coding guidelines (AAPC/AHIMA standards).
✔ Audit & Quality Check – Verify codes match diagnoses and resolve discrepancies.
✔ Stay Updated – Keep track of changing coding regulations.
✔ Data Confidentiality – Maintain patient record security.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Must-Have:

✅ 1+ years of medical coding experience.
✅ Certification: CPC/COC/CRC (AAPC) or CCS/CCA (AHIMA).
✅ Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding systems.
✅ Proficient in computer skills (EMR/EHR systems).
✅ Excellent communication & organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

✔ Experience in risk adjustment coding (HCC).
✔ Familiarity with 3M, Optum, Epic, or Cerner systems.
