Job Description: Publishing Assistant
Springer Nature is hiring a Publishing Assistant for its Discover Journals team in Pune. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of journal portfolios, supporting editorial processes, and enhancing journal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Journal Management Support: Assist in preparing reports, conference materials, and editorial board meetings.
✔ Administrative Coordination: Maintain MS Teams channels, OneDrive files, and contract oversight.
✔ Editorial Projects: Aid in editorial board recruitment, commissioning tracking, and journal performance analysis.
✔ Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal teams (production, marketing) and external editors.
✔ Journal Promotion: Support social media campaigns, blog invitations, and community engagement.
✔ New Journal Development: Assist the Executive Publisher in launching new journals.
Qualifications & Skills:
✅ Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a scientific field) or equivalent experience.
✅ Prior office experience (preferred but not mandatory).
✅ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
✅ Excellent English communication (written & verbal).
✅ Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
✅ Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
✅ Interest in scholarly publishing (prior experience not required).
