Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for executing and optimizing downstream processing and protein purification. Your contributions will be vital as you work on improving existing purification methods and implementing new technologies. The responsibilities include:
- Execute Experiments: You will be tasked with conducting experiments focused on downstream processing and protein purification.
- Develop and Optimize Processes: Your expertise will be essential in developing and refining purification processes, such as chromatography (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion), ultrafiltration/diafiltration, and other downstream unit operations.
- Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain essential downstream processing instruments, including AKTA systems and TFF systems.
- Adhere to CGMP Guidelines: It’s crucial to prepare and review SOPs and BMRs, ensuring all operations meet CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Hands-on Experience: Proven experience in downstream processing with chromatography and filtration techniques.
- Proficiency in Purification Systems: Strong knowledge of using and maintaining protein purification equipment, specifically AKTA, TFF, and centrifugation systems.
- Understanding of Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of CGMP guidelines and operational standards.
- Analytical Techniques: Familiarity with various analytical methods such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, HPLC, and ELISA.
