This pivotal role is essential in the development and support of various consumer products through advanced analytical techniques. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, stability, and efficacy, leveraging your scientific expertise to tackle complex challenges.
Your Team
You will report to the Senior Scientist in the MAPLab at AMA PHC R&D.
How Success Looks Like
- Proficient in performing routine analyses of dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, liquids, and semi-solids using instrumentation like HPLC, UV, GC, and Dissolution.
- Experience in analytical method development, validation, transfer, and stability testing.
- Strong understanding of ICH guidelines for method validation and stability studies.
- Agility to learn and acquire new skills.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Method Development and Validation:
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform analysis of various actives/inactive raw materials according to in-house methods or pharmacopoeia guidelines (IP, BP/EP, USP, JP).
- Utilize chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy, Dissolution, and titration methods for product analysis.
- Stability Studies:
- Conduct stability studies to evaluate the shelf-life and performance of products under various conditions.
- Analyze data to ensure compliance with ICH guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
- Identify and troubleshoot analytical issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) when challenges arise.
- Collaborate with senior technologists/managers and quality assurance departments to implement corrective actions.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights based on findings.
- Communicate unexpected results to senior management and assist in understanding discrepancies.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work:
- Work with R&D, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to support product development initiatives.
- Participate in project meetings, contributing to strategy discussions regarding product formulation and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements during analytical activities.
- Keep updated on industry standards and best practices in analytical testing.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to process innovations and improvements in analytical methodologies.
- Engage in training initiatives to enhance overall team capabilities.
- Instrument Calibration:
- Ensure timely calibration of laboratory instruments, including HPLC, GC, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, and others.
Job Qualifications
- Educational Requirement: M. Pharm with 1-2 years of experience or M.Sc. with 2-5 years of experience.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, matrix environment.
- Strong technical skills and compliance orientation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills capable of interpreting data.
- Proficient with various analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, statistical software, etc.).
- Understanding of GLP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
