Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting clinical data management activities and ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical trial data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review clinical trial data using CDMS platforms and external data listings.
- Ensure captured data follows the study protocol and Data Management Plan.
- Provide input into and review Data Management Plans.
- Generate data queries to clinical trial sites, vendors, CRAs and client representatives.
- Review query responses and resolve data discrepancies.
- Modify clinical databases following appropriate query resolution.
- Support the development of Case Report Forms (CRFs).
- Assist with edit check specifications according to study protocols.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of CRFs and edit checks.
- Perform UAT of study-specific data listings.
- Verify that data outputs meet study requirements.
- Prepare and maintain CRF, edit check and data listing testing documentation.
- Perform follow-up testing to confirm implemented changes.
- Manage multiple data management activities while maintaining quality and timelines.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution.
- A degree preferably in a technical, clinical, health-related or similar field.
- 3–5 years of practical experience using commercial Clinical Data Management Systems (CDMS) and/or Electronic Data Capture (EDC) products.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant EDC/CDMS Experience
Experience with the following platforms is relevant:
- Medidata Rave
- Oracle RDC / Inform
- DataLabs
- Other commercial EDC/CDMS platforms
Candidates should have practical experience performing clinical data management activities rather than only theoretical knowledge of these systems.
