Phoenix Assurance Pvt Ltd is hiring Medical Underwriters for Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company. This role involves evaluating medical risks, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, and maintaining high accuracy in risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform medical and life underwriting within approved authority limits.
- Assess risks meticulously by analyzing medical reports and policy applications.
- Apply medical underwriting guidelines and regulatory knowledge effectively.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of medical terminology and body systems.
- Ensure 98%+ accuracy in risk assessment and underwriting decisions.
- Adhere to strict SLAs for turnaround time (TAT) and process efficiency.
- Handle a daily target of 60-80 cases (subject to workload).
- Work extended hours on Fridays and the last week of each month (if required).
Work Schedule:
- Shift 1: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Shift 2: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: BDS, BAMS, BHMS, or MBBS (Freshers & Experienced)
- Preferred Location: Thane/Mumbai (other locations may be considered)
- Skills Required:
- Strong medical knowledge
- Analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Knowledge of insurance underwriting processes
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 (based on experience)
