The Central University of Punjab (CUPB), Bathinda, has announced exciting project-based job opportunities for qualified candidates. About the Project

The research project titled “Deciphering the Role of Fibroblast Growth Factors Dynamics in Experimental Models of Alzheimer’s Disease” aims to explore the molecular mechanisms behind Alzheimer’s disease. This is a 3-year project funded by ICMR, New Delhi, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in neuroscience.


Available Positions and Eligibility

1. Project Technical Support-III

  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Emoluments: ₹28,000/- + HRA (10%) per month for 2 years, with a 5% increment in the third year.
  • Term of Engagement: Initially 6 months, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.
  • Essential Qualification:
    • B. Pharmacy and Master’s degree (M.Pharm/M.S. Pharm) with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
    • Candidates with a background in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields are eligible.
    • GPAT/GATE/NET qualification is mandatory.
  • Desirable Expertise: Experience in stereotaxic surgery, RT-PCR, Western blot, and in-situ hybridization.
  • Age Limit: Below 30 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD as per government norms).

2. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

  • Number of Posts: 2
  • Emoluments: ₹56,000/- + HRA (10%) per month for 2 years, with a 5% increment in the third year.
  • Term of Engagement: Initially 6 months, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.
  • Essential Qualification:
    • B. Pharmacy and Master’s degree (M.Pharm/M.S. Pharm) with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
    • Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields.
    • GPAT/GATE/NET qualification is mandatory.
