Job Overview: Formulation & Development Officer (Injectable & OSD)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion for all assigned formulation projects.

• Prepare Development SOPs and Equipment-related SOPs for the new Formulation & Development laboratory.
• Conduct patent database literature reviews to support pre-formulation and formulation strategy.
• Perform pre-formulation studies to characterize APIs and excipients before formulation design.
• Manage procurement of raw materials and excipients required for ongoing development projects.
• Participate in ICH-compliant stability studies — including designing stability protocols, taking stability batches, and tracking ongoing stability data.
• Independently or collaboratively troubleshoot formulation challenges and keep projects on schedule.
• Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Packaging, and Regulatory teams to prepare Master Batch Records, SOPs, and development protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Postgraduate degree (M.Pharm) specialising in Pharmaceutics from a recognised university. B.Pharm graduates are not eligible for this role.

Experience

The position is open to both freshers and experienced professionals with up to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation and development. Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
