Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Cipla is seeking candidates for the following roles within its API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) manufacturing unit:
- Operator Production – API
- Executive/Sr. Executive/Officer Production – API
Key Responsibilities for all roles include:
- API Manufacturing Expertise: Successful candidates will possess experience in unit operations and unit processes within API manufacturing environments. This includes a deep understanding of the entire production lifecycle, from raw materials to finished products.
- Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operating and maintaining various equipment crucial to API production is essential. This includes, but is not limited to, reactors, centrifuges, filters, and dryers. Maintaining equipment according to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and safety standards is paramount.
- Adherence to Procedures: Candidates must meticulously follow Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Raw Material Handling: Safe and efficient handling of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to established procedures is critical. Accurate record-keeping and reporting are essential components of this responsibility.
- Quality & Safety: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the production area according to cGMP standards is a core responsibility. Furthermore, candidates must proactively ensure compliance with all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations and report any abnormalities or deviations immediately.
- Teamwork & Communication: Successful candidates will effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams, including QA (Quality Assurance), QC (Quality Control), maintenance, and warehouse personnel, ensuring smooth production operations. They will also actively support shift in-charges and senior officers.
- Continuous Improvement: Participation in internal audits and training programs demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
Specific Responsibilities Based on Role:
While the above responsibilities apply across all roles, specific requirements vary depending on the seniority level:
- Operator Production – API: This role focuses on the hands-on operation of equipment and adherence to established procedures, under the supervision of senior team members.
- Executive/Sr. Executive/Officer Production – API: These roles involve greater responsibility, including supervision of junior team members, troubleshooting, process optimization, and more in-depth participation in quality control and compliance initiatives.
Job Specifications:
- Operator Production – API: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. in Chemistry with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in API manufacturing.
- Executive/Sr. Executive/Officer Production – API: BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in API manufacturing.
