As a Trainee/Associate in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) at AssureCare HealthTech LLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information, processing claims, and resolving issues affecting payment delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information.
- Research, identify, and rectify any circumstances affecting delayed or non-payment of patient insurance claims.
- Process paper claims for assigned accounts and send these claims to the appropriate insurer for payment collection.
- Ensure that clean and correct claims are sent to insurers, including appropriate backup documentation when required.
- Prepare and submit coverage and payment appeals to insurances when appropriate.
- Resolve credit balances due to over-payments within time guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer requirements.
- Contact insurance companies for further explanation of denials and underpayments.
- Take appropriate action on claims to guarantee resolution.
- Ensure accurate and timely follow-up where required.
- Document actions taken in claims billing summary notes.
- Prioritize pending claims for calling from the aging bucket to make physical calls, following international norms and applicable rules for confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Work on denials, rejections, LOAs to accounts, making required corrections to claims.
