Job Responsibilities
As a Clinical Programmer II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and high-quality clinical programming support across various studies. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing tools like Oracle RDC, Oracle Inform, Medidata Rave, and SAS to design, write, validate, and maintain software.
- Developing and maintaining all documentation, including annotated CRFs, edit check procedures, database creation, and custom reports.
- Leading clinical programming activities on multiple concurrent studies and attending project review meetings.
- Managing resources effectively to meet project deadlines and proactively communicating potential issues.
- Providing leadership, training, and guidance to team members while collaborating with clients and project teams.
- Participating in sponsor audits and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Reviewing study budgets, monitoring scope, and alerting management of any required change orders.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in database programming using tools such as InForm, Rave, or Veeva.
- Expertise in designing eCRFs and programming edit checks in EDC systems, particularly in Central Designer for InForm.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with sponsors and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with programming languages like PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB.
- Experience working in a matrix-structured environment is a plus.
- Availability to travel up to 25% as required.
