About the Editorial Board Resourcing Associate Role
As an Editorial Board Resourcing Associate, you will contribute to the growth and development of scientific journals by supporting the recruitment of qualified researchers for editorial boards.
The role requires a combination of data analytics, quantitative analysis, academic publishing knowledge, project management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement skills.
You will work closely with journal publishing colleagues and Editors-in-Chief to identify suitable editorial board candidates and ensure an efficient recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management and Analysis
The Editorial Board Resourcing Associate will:
- Use data analytics and quantitative skills to assess editorial board recruitment requirements.
- Support Editors-in-Chief and journal publishing colleagues during the recruitment process.
- Develop datasets based on journal scope and relevant scientific fields.
- Identify potential candidates for editorial board recruitment.
- Analyze recruitment requirements and provide recommendations to support journal development.
- Screen and evaluate potential editorial board candidates.
- Verify candidate relevance to target journals.
- Review candidates for potential ethics or misconduct concerns.
- Manage multiple journals and recruitment activities effectively.
2. Editorial and Stakeholder Engagement
The selected candidate will:
- Work closely with external Editors-in-Chief and internal publishing teams.
- Build trust and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate recruitment processes and objectives.
- Balance the needs of different stakeholders.
- Ensure suitable candidates are invited in a timely manner.
- Provide Editors-in-Chief with updates regarding recruitment progress.

3. Process Improvement and Technology Support
