Red Nucleus is hiring an Associate / Sr. Associate Consultant – Epidemiology & Outcomes Research to join its global team. The Associate / Sr. Associate Consultant will support health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and evidence-generation projects across multiple therapeutic areas. Candidates with postgraduate qualifications in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, Pharmacy, Public Health or related life sciences disciplines may be suitable, subject to the required professional experience.
The role combines scientific research, literature review, evidence interpretation, project management and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will work within the Epidemiology & Outcomes Research team and may be responsible for:
- Supporting the design and execution of systematic literature reviews (SLRs) and targeted literature reviews (TLRs).
- Developing literature search strategies, screening criteria, data extraction frameworks and evidence-synthesis approaches.
- Conducting structured searches across bibliographic databases and other scientific evidence sources.
- Screening publications according to project-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Performing structured data extraction and detailed quality-control activities.
- Critically appraising scientific studies and interpreting clinical, epidemiological, economic and health outcomes data.
- Identifying evidence gaps and extracting meaningful insights from complex scientific information.
- Supporting qualitative and narrative evidence synthesis.
- Researching areas such as burden of disease, treatment patterns, unmet medical needs, clinical outcomes and other health outcomes.
- Managing multiple HEOR and epidemiology projects concurrently with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Supporting preparation of literature review reports, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations and evidence/value dossiers.
- Participating in client meetings and presentations.
- Providing analytical interpretation, project updates and scientific insights to project stakeholders.
- Supporting project scoping, methodology development, proposal preparation and estimation of project requirements.
- Providing guidance and quality oversight to junior colleagues involved in literature screening and data extraction.
- Contributing to internal training, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of research methodologies and tools.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have an MPH, MSc, MPharm or equivalent postgraduate qualification in one of the following or a closely related discipline:
Epidemiology, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, Pharmacy, Public Health, Life Sciences or related disciplines.

Experience Required
Candidates should have approximately 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in:
- Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
- Epidemiology
- Evidence synthesis
- Systematic or targeted literature reviews
- Secondary research
- Scientific evidence interpretation
- Pharmaceutical industry research
- Life sciences consulting
Candidates should also have demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and interpreting complex scientific information.
