Responsibilities in the Job

As a Medical Coder at R1 RCM, your responsibilities will include:

• Accurate Medical Coding: Assign appropriate codes to healthcare diagnoses and procedures based on the documentation provided by healthcare professionals.
• Code Review: Perform thorough checks to ensure that all codes are accurate, compliant with industry standards, and aligned with payer requirements.
• Maintain Confidentiality: Safeguard patient information by adhering to privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with healthcare providers and team members to ensure accuracy in the coding process.
• Follow-up and Clarifications: Resolve any coding discrepancies by communicating with medical professionals and other staff members to get clarifications and corrections as needed.

Qualification

To apply for this position, you need to meet the following educational and certification qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: A graduate in any field.
• Certification Requirement: You must be CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) certified to qualify for the role.
