Roles and Responsibilities
The selected Trainee will be responsible for supporting pharmaceutical production and packing operations while following approved procedures and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate assigned production and packing machines according to approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Perform machine start-up, operation, adjustment and shutdown activities.
- Verify machine cleanliness and readiness before starting operations.
- Maintain machine settings and process parameters within approved limits.
- Monitor machine performance and immediately report abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Perform routine in-process checks and accurately record observations.
- Complete equipment logbooks, BMRs, BPRs and other production documentation.
- Ensure correct identification and segregation of materials.
- Help minimize machine downtime through proper handling and timely reporting of equipment issues.
- Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams during breakdown and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding production areas.
- Handle and dispose of production waste according to approved procedures.
- Follow GMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity requirements.
- Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during machine operations.
- Support production targets while minimizing wastage.
- Handle raw materials, packing materials and finished products safely.
- Report equipment malfunctions, deviations, incidents, accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
- Participate in training programs to improve machine-operation and process knowledge.
- Follow applicable Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities related to efficiency, productivity, quality and safety.
