Responsibilities of a Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate

As a Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and ensuring drug safety. Your responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and processing Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reports.
  • Managing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) in the VigiFlow system.
  • Conducting quality, clinical, and statistical reviews of ICSRs.
  • Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the competent authority.

This role ensures active participation in India’s pharmacovigilance system and contributes to patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Eligibility

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess any of the following qualifications:

  • M.Pharm., PharmD, or a degree in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, or Clinical Research.
  • MBBS or BDS from a recognized university or institute.

Desirable Experience

  • At least 1-year experience in pharmacovigilance.
  • Proficiency in communication and computer skills.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years.

Skills Required

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • Strong analytical skills for processing ADR reports and ICSRs.
  • Effective communication abilities to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Competence in statistical tools and software, including familiarity with VigiFlow.
  • Adaptability and teamwork to handle diverse responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
