Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate the microbiological laboratory in compliance with USP-1117 standards.
- Conduct microbial examinations, culturing, identification, and media preparation.
- Perform bacteriological analyses of water and food samples according to relevant standards.
- Assess disinfection efficacy against fresh produce using enumeration methods.
- Assist in scientific research projects and experimental procedures.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes.
- Prepare detailed reports, maintain accurate records, and document findings.
- Collaborate with farmers, agricultural experts, and government entities on field-testing new technologies.
Requirements & Skills:
- B.Sc/M.Sc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Food Microbiology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in microbiological techniques and methodologies.
- Experience in a microbiology laboratory setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and relevant software.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
