Is This a Pharmacovigilance Job?

Not directly.

Although the organization operates across areas including pharmacovigilance and Medical Information, this particular vacancy is described as a Medical Information Assistant (Administrative Assistant) position.

The work focuses considerably on administrative support, telephone handling, reception support, filing, archiving, mail processing, documentation and SOP compliance rather than core pharmacovigilance activities such as ICSR processing, MedDRA coding, causality assessment or safety database case processing.

Is This a Medical Information Job?

Yes, but it is a support-level Medical Information role.

The employee supports Medical Information Enquiry Handling teams rather than independently functioning as a Medical Information Specialist.

This distinction is important for candidates who are specifically looking for scientific Medical Information positions involving literature searches, medical response writing, product information or direct scientific enquiry resolution.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position provides exposure to a professional pharmaceutical and life sciences environment while developing transferable skills in:

  • Medical Information operations
  • Administrative support
  • SOP compliance
  • Documentation
  • Data confidentiality
  • Process adherence
  • Quality-focused working practices
  • Professional communication
  • Pharmaceutical business operations

Candidates seeking to establish experience within a regulated life sciences organization may find this exposure useful for their longer-term career development.
