Lupin is inviting applications for the position of Junior Officer – Production at its Nagpur location. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with relevant production experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, especially in areas such as granulation, compression and coating.

The role involves working in the Production department and supporting cGMP, GxP, SOP-based manufacturing, documentation, equipment cleaning, line clearance and quality system compliance activities.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all cGMP, GxP and other applicable regulatory requirements, including EH&S requirements.
• Complete training on relevant SOPs and understand the activities to be conducted before undertaking any task.
• Conduct all tasks and activities as per applicable SOPs, and report any difficulty or deviation in following procedures or instructions to immediate supervisors or managers.
• Report any quality concern or suggestion for improvement to supervisors or managers.
• Carry out manufacturing and processing of assigned product batches under supervision as per instructions given in the BMR.
• Handle and move raw material, bulk, semi-finished and finished goods.
• Operate, wash and clean equipment and accessories used in related production activities as per respective SOP.
• Maintain areas and machines as per GMP requirements.
• Support Quality Management Systems and report any discrepancy, abnormality, non-conformance or incidence observed to the Department Head and QA Head.
• Receive RM and PM from Warehouse and ensure overall cleanliness of areas.
• Perform operations as per SOPs and BMR with online recording in respective documents, as applicable.
• Ensure self-hygiene before entering the production area and follow all other rules and regulations set by the HR department.
• Perform in-process checks as per respective BMR and record results in respective documents, as applicable.
• Fulfil training needs as per current requirements with respect to cGMP, job, safety, health and hygiene by attending training programmes.
• Support cost effectiveness in production operations by controlling overtime, revenue expenses and achieving standard yield.
• Critically monitor environmental conditions to meet the standards mentioned in BMR and SOP.
• Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and instruments as per approved schedule, and ensure results meet standards.
• Perform line clearance activity during batch-to-batch and product-to-product changeover and ensure compliance as per SOP.
• Handle issuance, retrieval and destruction of dies and punches, product-dedicated bags and sieves, silicon sleeves, pipes, hose pipes and screens.
• Ensure audit compliance.
• Attend machine and process troubleshooting requirements whenever necessary.
• Carry out any other assignment allocated by the Production Head.
• Attend required cGMP, on-job and functional training activities as per planner.

Qualification

• Diploma
• Diploma in Pharmacy or Engineering
• Graduation in Science

Experience

Candidates should have 2-6 Years of relevant work experience.
