- Position: Coding Specialist
- Specialty: E&M Outpatient (OP) with a focus on Family Medicine/Internal Medicine
- Location: Mumbai, India
- Experience Required: Minimum 1+ years in the relevant specialty
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant Experience: At least 1 year of coding experience in E&M OP for Family/Internal Medicine.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills for accurate coding and adherence to medical coding standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Health Information Management, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
- Medical Coding Certification:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or CCS-P (Physician-based) from AHIMA.
- Specialized Coding Training: Training or coursework in E&M coding or ICD-10-CM/PCS.
Key Skills and Knowledge
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in E&M coding guidelines and compliance with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding standards.
- Familiarity with medical billing and reimbursement processes.
- Strong analytical skills for accurate code assignment and documentation review.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA for maintaining confidentiality.
