Job Description: Genome Variant Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth analysis of genomic variants (SNVs, CNVs, indels, structural variants) from NGS data.
- Interpret variants using ACMG/AMP guidelines and assess clinical significance.
- Collaborate with genetic counselors, clinical geneticists, and lab teams for variant curation and reporting.
- Maintain variant classification databases ensuring data accuracy.
- Stay updated on genomics advancements, tools, and methodologies.
- Contribute to SOP development for variant interpretation.
- Support R&D projects in genetic testing and precision medicine.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s or PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
- 0-6 months experience in NGS data analysis & variant interpretation (clinical setting preferred).
- Familiarity with ClinVar, gnomAD, HGMD, Ensembl, and other genomic databases.
- Proficiency in bioinformatics tools & pipelines for genomic analysis.
- Strong grasp of variant classification frameworks (ACMG/AMP).
- Detail-oriented, independent, and collaborative work approach.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards in clinical genomics is a plus.
