USP is seeking a Scientist III to develop next-generation analytical technologies for pharmaceutical R&D, focusing on quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance (qNMR) and quantum mechanics (QM). This role is crucial in improving pharmaceutical research and safeguarding public health through rigorous scientific methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- NMR & QM Analysis: Perform studies to evaluate key parameters of NMR for QM-based analysis and qNMR non-target analysis.
- Method Development: Develop, optimize, and publish high-quality analytical methods using high-field NMR and qNMR.
- Structural Elucidation: Acquire high-resolution qNMR spectra to perform chemical structure analysis and build QM spectral models.
- Database Collaboration: Contribute to the expansion of the digital NMR spectral database.
- Project Management: Manage project tasks, experiment plans, and resolve technical issues to ensure high data quality.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expertise on product development projects and qNMR applications to advance USP standards.
- Scientific Research: Conduct research independently and collaborate with academic and industry experts to support USP’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- MSc/M.Pharm with 6-8 years of experience in NMR, qNMR, Quantum mechanics, and method development, OR
- Ph.D. in a scientific discipline with experience in NMR, qNMR, Quantum mechanics and method development.
- Experience:
- Hands-on experience in qNMR, QM modeling, and analysis.
- Research experience in method validation and development of analytical methods.
