Job Description

This role is for a Production Operator responsible for setting up, calibrating and operating manufacturing equipment while ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP and safety standards. The position involves preparing raw materials, conducting in-process checks, maintaining documentation and performing cleaning and sanitization activities.

The selected candidate will contribute to operational excellence by supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting minor equipment issues and implementing CAPA for repeat problems. The role also emphasizes adherence to SOPs, personal safety practices and continuous improvement through Kaizen, 5S and lean initiatives. Candidates will also engage in training programs, safety drills and digital system usage such as SOR and OEE dashboards to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate machinery, prepare raw materials and ensure readiness for production.
  • Conduct in-process checks such as weight variation, hardness and disintegration to maintain product quality.
  • Record production activities, maintain GMP documentation and support internal and external audits.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, perform CLTI activities and verify calibration of instruments.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues, support preventive maintenance and implement CAPA for repeat problems.
  • Follow PPE, hygiene and safety standards, report incidents and execute LOTO procedures.
  • Participate in training sessions, safety drills, SOP updates and engage in Kaizen, 5S and lean initiatives.
  • Use computerized systems such as SOR, digital dashboards including OEE, Plant Visibility and AMPLE, and support root cause analysis to improve efficiency.
