Key Responsibilities
As an Associate โ Regulatory Toxicology, you will:
- Conduct scientific literature searches and toxicological evaluations of raw materials and ingredients.
- Prepare Raw Material Toxicology Profiles for INCI ingredients and residual chemicals.
- Perform toxicological risk assessments for cosmetic raw materials.
- Calculate Margin of Safety (MoS) and California Proposition 65 assessments.
- Draft Full Safety Assessments in accordance with the European Cosmetics Regulation.
- Prepare safety assessments for impurities and degradants.
- Review product formulations and provide toxicological recommendations for approval.
- Complete mandatory training programs within defined timelines.
- Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Escalate project-related issues to the Team Lead whenever required.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Master’s degree in Toxicology or Veterinary Pharmacology.
- 2โ4 years of experience as a Regulatory Toxicologist in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or consumer healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic safety assessments and toxicological evaluations.
- Knowledge of European Cosmetics Directive and regulatory safety requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and scientific writing abilities.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Based on industry standards for Mumbai, the expected salary range is:
