The Care Specialist at 4baseCare will play a pivotal role in providing support to cancer patients and their families. This full-time, on-site position in Bangalore requires a compassionate and patient-focused approach. The Care Specialist will serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring they receive the best possible resources and emotional support during their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Data Management: Collect detailed medical and family history from patients and accurately record this information.
- Coordination of Appointments: Collaborate with counselors and patients to schedule appointments, working closely with caregivers and the hospital team.
- Resource Access: Help patients and caregivers access available resources provided by the hospital or doctors.
- Support Services: Partner with the central team to offer counseling and community support programs tailored to patient needs.
- Emotional Support: Provide empathetic support to patients, advocating for their needs and ensuring they feel cared for.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Allied Healthcare, Oncology, Social Work, Nursing, Life Sciences/Biotechnology, or Ayurveda.
- Work Experience: Preferably one or more years of relevant experience in a hospital or clinic, especially in patient coordination.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Hindi, English, and Odia is required for effective communication with patients and stakeholders.
