Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Reviewer at Cactus Life Sciences, selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing manuscripts, posters, slide decks, educational materials, medical literature, and other scientific content for data accuracy.
  • Fact-checking documents prepared by medical writers against annotated references, clinical study reports (CSRs), and other source materials.
  • Identifying scientific and data discrepancies within text, figures, tables, and supplementary materials.
  • Checking consistency between written content and supporting scientific evidence.
  • Identifying missing references, unsupported statements, and gaps in scientific logic.
  • Reviewing grammar, syntax, writing style, and overall content quality.
  • Ensuring documents comply with relevant style guides, regulatory guidelines, and publishing requirements.
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of documents and projects reviewed or fact-checked.
  • Communicating QC and fact-checking observations effectively to medical writers and clients.
  • Preparing and delivering QC reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifying recurring quality trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensuring assigned documents and projects are delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Communicating proactively with team members, clients, authors, faculty members, and vendors.
  • Participating in workshops, seminars, and training programs to strengthen medical communication and scientific review skills.

Qualification and Eligibility

Candidates interested in the CACTUS Medical Reviewer vacancy should meet the following requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in a research-related, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or equivalent discipline, or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the medical writing industry is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of scientific and medical literature is desirable.
