About the Role

The Scientific Communications & Medical Information Analyst will support the creation and delivery of accurate, balanced, and compliant scientific information related to AstraZeneca products marketed in the US.

The role requires the ability to interpret complex clinical and scientific evidence and convert it into clear medical information for healthcare professionals and other relevant audiences.

Candidates will also work with medical, scientific, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure scientific content remains accurate, consistent, relevant, and aligned with product and therapeutic-area strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, update, and maintain high-quality scientific and medical content.
  • Prepare US standard responses and localized scientific communication materials.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to Medical Information Requests (MIRs).
  • Conduct comprehensive scientific and medical literature searches.
  • Evaluate published evidence and prepare customized responses for complex medical inquiries.
  • Ensure appropriate scientific referencing, citation, and copyright compliance.
  • Perform medical accuracy checks, editorial reviews, quality assurance, and promotional reviews.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of assigned products, therapeutic areas, diseases, and diagnostics.
  • Use medical information and content-management systems such as GMIP Inquiry, Vault MedComms, PromoMats, and AIMI.
  • Collaborate with medical, regulatory, scientific, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Support adoption of digital technologies and AI-enabled solutions to improve the quality and speed of medical information delivery.

Qualification

Candidates should have an advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred/mentioned qualifications: PharmD (preferred), MD, PhD, or equivalent advanced scientific qualification/experience.

Essential Skills and Experience

Desirable Skills

Experience with digital medical content or digital content strategy is highly desirable.

Knowledge of GMIP Inquiry, Vault MedComms, PromoMats, AIMI, or similar medical information and content-management platforms will be advantageous.

Familiarity with US Medical Information processes is also desirable for this AstraZeneca Medical Information Analyst position.
