Job Roles and Qualifications
1. Pharmacovigilance Associate – Literature Review
This position is focused on ensuring the safety and efficacy of medications by analyzing scientific literature and identifying potential safety concerns. As a Pharmacovigilance Associate, you will play a crucial role in the safety of medications by conducting thorough literature reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing Literature Review related to Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSR).
- Supporting patient safety by ensuring accurate case processing.
- Collaborating with Quality Assurance teams, training teams, and conducting audits and inspections.
- Managing databases such as Embase, Medline, PubMed, and Ovid to retrieve safety information.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in Pharmacovigilance (2-6 years).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
- Deep knowledge of Pharmacovigilance concepts, regulations, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of database management for literature reviews.
2. Pharmacovigilance Associate I & II – Patient Safety Operations
This position is responsible for case processing and ensuring patient safety by reviewing adverse event reports and conducting investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing case processing and related patient safety operations in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Extensive use of medical terminology, clinical pharmacology, and knowledge of diagnostic investigations and pathology.
- Performing medical coding using MedDRA (Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities) to code all events in the safety database.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in Pharmacovigilance (2-6 years).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
- Expertise in medical coding and patient safety concepts.
Skills & Competencies Required
The following skills are essential for both positions:
- Strong analytical skills to review literature and process case reports.
