Takeda is hiring for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) position in Telangana. This full-time opportunity is focused on medical and scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and other external stakeholders, with a particular focus on the vaccine therapeutic area.
The Medical Science Liaison will act as a scientific resource for healthcare professionals while developing strong disease, therapy and product knowledge. The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining advanced knowledge of diseases, products and therapeutic areas.
- Staying updated on major ongoing and completed clinical studies.
- Maintaining knowledge of competitive products and relevant clinical data.
- Engaging healthcare professionals in scientific and medical discussions.
- Providing field-based medical information and education to physicians.
- Delivering balanced, fair and non-promotional scientific presentations.
- Discussing advances in disease knowledge, diagnosis and treatment.
- Planning and executing medical education activities aligned with business objectives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders.
- Attending medical congresses, conventions and scientific symposia.
- Reporting relevant scientific insights from congresses and events.
- Representing the medical department at medical congresses and conventions.
- Facilitating pre-congress activities and attending poster and oral presentation sessions.
- Supporting CME programme development, organization and delivery.
- Participating in scientific committees where required.
- Providing literature information and scientific interpretation to internal teams.
- Supporting therapy-area training and scientific education for field sales teams.
- Collaborating with internal colleagues and alternate teams when required.
- Identifying and sharing key medical insights that can support Medical Affairs planning.
- Conducting KOL mapping and profiling, including relevant public-policy stakeholders.
Takeda Medical Science Liaison Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have one of the following backgrounds:
- Doctoral degree in Life Sciences, such as Ph.D.
- Pharmacy degree
- Pharm.D
- MBBS
- MD
- Medical postgraduate qualification

Experience
- Minimum 1 year of prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with a vaccine portfolio is highly recommended.

Field Work and Travel Requirements
This Medical Science Liaison position has a significant field component.
