Position Overview

StrainX Bio is seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Downstream Process Development team as Research Scientists, Senior Research Scientists, or Principal Scientists, depending on qualifications and experience. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of cost-effective and scalable protein purification processes, driving innovation in biotechnology.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 3–5 years of experience, M.Tech with 9–12 years of experience, or M.Sc. with 13–15 years of experience in protein purification or related fields.

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on experience in microbial recombinant protein purification techniques, including:
  • Affinity Chromatography
  • Ion Exchange
  • Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC)
  • Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC)
  • Reverse Phase Chromatography
  • Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF)
• Proficiency in analytical biochemistry methods:
  • SDS-PAGE
  • Western Blot
  • Protein Quantification
  • HPLC
  • Mass Spectrometry
• Extensive experience in FPLC/liquid chromatography, including programming, operating, and troubleshooting small- and pilot-scale purification systems.
• Practical knowledge of Design of Experiment (DoE)-based purification process development.
• Expertise in mass spectrometry-based protein analysis:
  • Intact Mass
  • Glycan Profiling
  • Glycosylation Site Mapping
  • Peptide Mapping
  • Disulfide Bond Analysis
• Hands-on experience in resin packing for columns like XK, HiScale, and BPG.

• Develop scalable and cost-efficient protein purification processes.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed technical reports.
